Overview of the Women's Program

Lown Women's Cardiology Program was launched to address cardiac issues and challenges unique to our female patients.

We launched the Lown Women's Cardiovascular Program in 2020 to address cardiac issues and challenges unique to our female patients. The goal of our Cardiovascular Wellness Program is to identify risk factors early and outline a map to optimize cardiovascular wellness.

We value your uniqueness! We recognize that every patient is different, each with her own challenges and concerns. Our proactive approach includes an in-depth risk assessment, cardiovascular testing, and comprehensive laboratory evaluation. We will work with you to create a personalized treatment plan with built-in follow up.

Our Mission

To deliver gender-specific cardiovascular care via our patient-centered practice with a focus on early intervention and primordial prevention.

Our Philosophy

  • Medical care should be personalized and not follow a one-size-fits-all approach. Every patient in our practice is recognized as a complex organ system with unique characteristics.
  • Much of modern medicine starts treatment after disease begins. We believe in a proactive, preventative approach.
  • Our treatment strategies target the root cause of illness. Our holistic approach incorporates the latest science and medical knowledge into a personalized lifestyle-based treatment plan.
  • Our goal is to give you the tools and knowledge to partner with us in directing your medical care.

Our Care Model

We incorporate the latest medical science into lifestyle changes which can prevent, alter, and reverse cardiovascular disease.

Our assessment will focus on the four lifestyle pillars:

  • Exercise
  • Nutrition
  • Sleep
  • Stress

Our Women's Cardiovascular Wellness Program includes:

  • Review of outside medical records and labs.
  • Body composition analysis.
  • Comprehensive, 90-minute, one-on-one initial evaluation to determine your unique characteristics and personal risk factors based on age, gender, race, family history, lifestyle behaviors, emotional and physical health, current and previous health conditions and more.
  • Personalized Cardiovascular Wellness Plan discussed in depth at follow-up meeting.
  • Individualized lifestyle-based recommendations that address exercise, nutrition, sleep and stress.
